It is announced that the Editorial Office of Annales Geophysicae has now set up a Special Issue entitled : “12th International Symposium on Equatorial Aeronomy (ISEA-12)” which is aimed for the publication of papers presented in ISEA-12.

The Guest Editors of this special issue are : C. Haldoupis (chald@physics.uoc.gr ), J. Makela (jmakela@uiuc.edu), E. Kudeki (Erhan@uiuc.edu), J. Chau (jchau@jro.igp.gob.pe), D. Pancheva (eesdvp@bath.ac.uk ), and D. Hysell (david.hysell@cornell.edu ).

From today on, the ISEA-12 participants who expressed interest in publishing their presentations in the “ISEA-12” Annales Geophysicae Special Issue, they are now welcome to submit their contributions by using the online registration form on the ANGEO website: http://www.copernicus.org/EGU/annales/ms_registration.html.

Submission instructions as well as LATEX or word style files and examples can be found at
http://www.copernicus.org/EGU/annales/guidelines_for_publication.html

The submission deadline is September 30, 2008.

Because of the large number of papers anticipated (~ 80 papers) the Guest Editorial Team and the Annales Geophysicae Editorial Office have agreed to the following terms, which the authors need to be aware of and take into consideration:

  1. Only short papers will be considered. That is, 6 to 8 Journal pages total per paper, or say 16 pages maximum for single spaced text, including also figures and tables. Exceptions will be made for the invited papers which can go up to 10, and the tutorial papers which can go up to 16, Journal pages.

  2. Given that one full page of text in Annales Geophysicae is ~1000 words, the contributed papers should NOT exceed 6000 words and include not more than 5-6 figures.

  3. The papers must be highly original (no additions to previously published results).
  4. The papers which would need a 3rd revision will be automatically removed from the special issue. In this case, the author can consult/ discuss with the topical editor and arrange for a regular submission of his/her paper to Annales Geophysicae.
  5. There will be NO extension of the submission deadline beyond Sept. 30, 2008.
